Q: HOW IS YOUR PHOTO BOOTH DIFFERENT?
Everyone has a different style when it comes to photo booths. A photo booth is a machine that takes photos and prints them, but what else factors into the price and is important to consider? Materials and quality of photos vary significantly from company to company. We encourage and recommend asking to see photos of the booth, samples of the prints, and reviews. Many charge extra for idle time, props, and logos. We never charge for any of that.
What is the cost for additional options? What is the quality of the guest book? Are they using professional equipment? What size are the photo strips? Do the photos look good? Will it hold up when your intoxicated friend face plants the photo booth? (No joke, we have seen it happen). Don’t be afraid to ask questions!
To us, a photo booth should look like a photo booth and take great photos. Our photo booths have a vintage feel and are made out of metal, with hard walls and a curtain, while others are essentially pop up tents with a box in the back of them. We use professional equipment. All photo strips are high resolution, waterproof, and the same size as classic film photo booths – 2×8 inches. Most others are 2×6 inches. We also include digital copies of all photos at the end of the event.
Our guest books have archival paper with cloth-hinged pages to ensure it lasts for years.
If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. In most cases, the difference in pricing isn’t much, but for the extra amount you can be sure we will rock your socks off. If you don’t believe us, read our Raves page.
We know photo booths. It’s what we do. We’re not just another add on from a DJ or event company… we’ve been doing this a lot longer! We care about details some people wouldn’t even notice. If you can understand and appreciate our freakishly ridiculous attention to detail, we would love to work with you.
Q: HOW DOES IT WORK?
Just get in, press the button, and smile! The booth will take the photos about 6 seconds apart. Each photo is displayed on the monitor after it’s taken. Seconds later, the pictures are printed and available outside of the booth. Our modern photo booths feature touch screens and operate the same way. Ask us about our GIF booth! We also have social media integration available so guests can share photos immediately.
Q: WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL PACKAGE?
Unlimited photos in 2×8 strips or 4×6 prints with tons of layout options, digital files of all photos, props and accessories, custom logo, set up, and removal. We’re on site during the event to make sure everything runs smoothly. Please see the Packages page for more information and options.
Q: CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE GUEST BOOK OPTION?
The book is awesome! Our guest books are customized for your event and allow your guests to include their photo with a handwritten note to you. The best guest book (ever!) is available for you to take home that night. See what your friends were up to and read their messages for years to come. Our albums feature double-thick archival board wrapped in premium, European-milled book cloth, with cloth hinged pages to be sure your book lasts a lifetime. We’re there to paste the photos in the book and show guests where to write so everything stays neat and spill-free.
Q: HOW DO I RESERVE A DATE?
We require a deposit of $300 to secure your date, which is put toward your final balance. The remaining balance is due at least 14 days prior to your event. Contact us for our rental agreement and availability.
Q: A VENDOR WE’RE WORKING WITH HAS A PHOTO BOOTH, CAN WE STILL HIRE YOU?
Because we’ve heard this a lot lately, we feel it’s important to address. We know everyone has different style and taste, and so do your other vendors. Their booth may not be your style or fit your vision, and that’s ok. We regularly work with other vendors who also have photo booths. We’ve known most of them long before they decided to offer them and already have working relationships with them.
Q: DO WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE PHOTO STRIPS TO PRINT BEFORE TAKING MORE PHOTOS?
No, the booth will keep up with you!
Q: WHEN DO YOU SET UP, AND IS THAT PART OF THE HOURLY FEE?
We coordinate the set up time with each location based on their schedule. Only the hours of the actual event count for the rental fee. We do not charge for idle time between set-up and break down of the booth, or closure during dinner.
Q: WHAT TYPES OF PROPS ARE INCLUDED?
All of our props are included in the cost of the rental and we’re happy to go over the options with you. Mustaches and lips on sticks, typographic signs, special themes like The Roaring 20s, upscale Mardi Gras, 80s, and more. We’ve even done events with only props on sticks… all for no extra charge! We’re on a never ending search to find the best, most high quality accessories available. Each rental includes custom flags that you get to keep at the end of the night.
Q: CAN I HAVE A MESSAGE ON THE PHOTO?
You can have any message you’d like on the photo, as well as customized logos which are included with each package. Corporate clients can brand the images for a tangible connection between the user and your company. Your photos will serve as promotion on fridges far and wide long after your event is over. Customize your event to include social media integration and take your brand impact one step further.
Q: CAN WE DECORATE THE BOOTH?
We can create custom signs and panels for the booth or provide the measurements if you’re working with a graphic designer. We have dozens of backdrops available for the modern photo booth and can create custom ones, too! Our growing collection includes sequins, ruffles, paper flowers, and custom made. The touchscreens on the modern photo booth are also customized to match the design on your photos.
Q: HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN FIT IN THE PHOTO BOOTH?
4-5 people can fit comfortably with plenty of room to spare. You can fit even more if you really like each other (we’ve seen as many as 12)! We have specific ideas of what a photo booth is, and fitting 20 people inside means it doesn’t look much like the vintage photos booths we love! You usually end up with a big black tent. If you want to fit 20 people inside, our open/modern booth may be a better fit. Contact us for details!
Q: HOW FAR WILL YOU TRAVEL FOR AN EVENT?
At this time, our photo booth can service State College, Altoona, Harrisburg, York, Lancaster, Williamsport, Lewisburg, Sunbury, Lewistown, Elizabethtown, Johnstown, PA and the surrounding area. Events over 120 miles round trip from State College may incur a small travel fee. We’ll go pretty far!
